National Network Accomplishments
As a National Center of Excellence, funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Network focuses on the urgent need to upgrade the knowledge and skill level of the US forest products industry workforce. We have accomplished many of the goals set during the initial grant period, including but not limited to:
    • Developed a degree program
          Currently over 100 graduates of the Associate of Applied Science
           in Pulp and Paper Technology since inception of degree program
    • Developed Pulp and Paper Training Labs
    • Development of Skills Standards
    • Publication of Textbooks
    • Online modules developed by TAPPI
    • Recruitment of nine partner colleges
    • Curriculum enhancement
    • Faculty and student development through workshops and Summer Institutes
